Acts of Kindness #35

I went to lunch the other day with Granny, Nancy, Jennifer and Hayley and we had decided to pay for someones lunch to honor Rosie's wishes for her birthday...we asked our young waiter if there was someone dining alone, and he didn't find anyone. We were talking with him, (he was a really nice guy with 5 sisters!) his name (Bryan Hitchcock) and general chitchat, turns out he was a second grade teacher that had lost his job due to job cuts in the school system. He hasn't finished college yet (he is a certified sub) and he was second guessing becoming a teacher and finishing college. We told him about Rosie, that she wanted to be a teacher too, but didn't get the chance. We had decided that HE was our act of kindness for the day, not someone random after all. He was really touched and said he would never forget her and that it gives him the incentive to continue school after all.
